The free check on /audit also asks ChatGPT and Gemini three buyer questions once, so you see whether they name you; Free does not track answers over time. No card, no time limit. What do the paid plans add?
Starter ($39/mo) tracks 1 brand and 25 questions every week on ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and AI Overviews. Pro ($99/mo) tracks 3 brands and 75 questions and adds Grok. Business ($249/mo) tracks 10 brands and 200 questions and Slack alerts. Every paid plan includes unlimited team members.
What if one engine fails?
We soft-fail. If most scheduled engines return, the weekly report still ships. Failed engines are marked as failed, never filled with made-up answers.
Is this a GEO optimizer or an SEO tracker?
CiteBrief shows where AI assistants name you, who they name instead, and what on your site to fix. It is not a keyword rank tracker and does not promise rankings.
Can I pay annually?
Yes. Annual is 10 months prepaid (2 months free). Toggle Annual, then start a plan. You sign up if needed, then continue to checkout on annual billing.
What counts as a tracked question?
A tracked question is a buyer question stored on a brand, like "best invoicing tool for freelancers". Scores use unbranded questions only. Need more? Add 25 questions for $19/mo.
How often is visibility checked?
Free is checked once a month. Paid plans are checked every week, one answer per question per engine. Manual re-checks after a fix use monthly credits (2 on Starter, 10 on Pro, 30 on Business); extra re-checks are $9.
Which AI platforms are included?
Free covers . Starter covers ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and AI Overviews. Pro and Business cover ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Overviews and Grok. More engines are added as they go live.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from billing; access continues through the current period, then the workspace moves to the Free plan. Reports stay available for 90 days.
I run an agency. Can I white-label reports?
Yes, with the Agency add-on ($49/mo on any paid plan): white-label PDFs, client CC, custom sender and approvals. Clients never need an account.
Can I track competitors?
Yes. Add competitors on each brand. Every check records who the AI named when it did not name you.
How is AI visibility measured?
Named in X of N unbranded buyer questions, recommended in Y of N, and who was named instead when you were missing. It is not a keyword rank and should not be added to Search Console totals.
