AI visibility report for agencies

An AI visibility report for agencies is not a score inside a tool. It is the file the account manager forwards when the client asks: “Are we showing up in ChatGPT?” Send a brief they can read on Friday, not another login.

Page 1 of the sample weekly report: named score and buyer-question rows.

Most agencies already know the question is coming. The 2026 AgencyAnalytics benchmark put AI-driven search optimization as the top new client request (66% of agencies). Almost half still cannot track users who arrived through AI. The gap is not another dashboard. The gap is a report the client can read on Friday.

What belongs in an agency AI visibility report

Keep it to one sitting. If the CMO needs a login, you already lost.

  1. Named in X of N scored buyer questions this period, split by engine (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, Google AI Overviews).
  2. Recommended in Y of N — named is not the same as “use them.”
  3. Who won each high-intent question when the client did not.
  4. Citations — URLs the model used, even if the brand name was not bolded.
  5. Five actions with an owner (content, site, PR, listings, sales).
  6. Method line: engines, date, market, how many questions were branded vs unbranded.
  7. GSC footnote: do not add these mentions to Search Console totals.

Score only unbranded comparison, job, and switch questions. “What is {Client}?” is a branded check. Put it in the appendix. A model repeating a name you typed is not evidence.

What does not belong

  • A single “AI score” averaged across engines. Visibility is per-engine (the same brand can look fine on one assistant and missing on ChatGPT).
  • Raw model dumps.
  • The words GEO, AEO, LLM, embeddings, tokens — not in the client letter.
  • Traffic you cannot prove.

How agencies use it on a retainer

Package it as a line on the existing SEO, content, or PR retainer — not a new product the client has to approve from zero. The short product page is AI-search reporting for agencies; this guide is what you actually send.

  • Monthly: one brief per client, sent with the usual reporting pack.
  • Weekly (any paid plan): PDF + private link, no client seat. Pro is $99/mo for 3 brands checked weekly; client-ready white-label PDFs are the Agency add-on ($49/mo).
  • Pitch: run one prospect domain before the deck. The brief *is* the sample.

Time you are replacing: screenshots into Slides. That is the part-time job agency threads complain about. A report that still needs two hours of rewrite is not an AI visibility report. It is notes.

Template vs tracker vs this report

Use a tracker if you already live in Looker. Use a report if the AM has to send something this week. Start from the AI search report template or the how-to.

FAQ

How many questions?

Enough buyer questions to defend the score — typically 15–30 unbranded prompts per brand, not 500 daily keywords.

How often?

Weekly if the client is paying for “always on.” Monthly is enough to start.

Can we white-label it?

Yes. The cover should be the agency, not the software vendor. See the white label ChatGPT report.

Will this replace our SEO report?

No. It is one section: AI answers. Organic rankings stay in the SEO pack.
